A Soul’s Ascent Across Eight Sacred Stages
From the auspicious dawn of his birth, through the crowned years of royal life, to the silent grandeur of his nirvana — every step of Sambhavnath Bhagwan’s journey is a sacred teaching. Walk this path slowly, with reverence, and let each moment illuminate within.
Below unfolds the eternal chronology of the Third Tirthankara — eight luminous milestones, each marking a transformation of the soul. Together, they form the architecture of liberation that Jain dharma upholds across yugas.
A Sacred Chronology of Liberation
Margashirsha Chaturdashi
On a sacred dawn, Sambhavnath was born into the noble house of King Jitari and Queen Susena, marking the beginning of an era of divine grace and spiritual renewal.
The Prince of Ikshvaku
Raised amidst the splendour of the Ikshvaku dynasty, the young prince was schooled in the arts of statecraft, virtue, and sacred dharma — yet his heart remained turned inward.
The Awakening to Impermanence
Witnessing the fleeting nature of worldly joy, the prince contemplated the truth of impermanence — and resolved to seek that which neither rises nor decays.
The Great Renunciation
Setting aside crown, kingdom, and kin, he embraced the life of an ascetic — surrendering all that the world treasures for the eternal treasure of the awakened soul.
Years of Sacred Austerity
Through unbroken meditation, fasting, and silence, he traversed the inner landscape — burning karma after karma in the flame of pure awareness.
The Dawn of Omniscience
The veils of karma fell away. Infinite knowledge, infinite perception, infinite bliss, and infinite power arose — and the world received its third Jina of this era.
Guidance to Disciples
His first ganadhara, Charudatta, and his first female disciple, Shyama, became sacred vessels of his teachings, carrying the dharma to all who sought light.
Eternal Liberation at Sammet Shikharji
On the sacred day of Chaitra Sudi 6, after destroying all harmful karmas, he ascended to the eternal abode as a Siddha — forever free, forever luminous.
